One thing a lot of people don’t know about me is that I tend to have a rather eclectic taste in music, mostly gravitating towards heavier music. Often times people are surprised that I stand up front at crazy concerts and take pictures, purely for the fun of it. Maybe it’s because I enjoy the music, maybe because after shooting hundreds of concerts if there isn’t a chance for personal injury it just isn’t as fun, really it’s probably both. Regardless, taking photos at Heavy Metal and Hardcore punk concerts will always be one of my favorite things to do. Here’s a few photos from the show:

Tink

A photographer I look up to (Chase Jarvis) has been quoted as saying that one of the most important things to do is just to create everyday, photos, sketches whatever. To that end, I’m making an effort to take more photos, and since my girlfriend and room mate largely hate having their photo taken I can usually bribe our pets with treats. That said, here’s a few pictures of Tink.

Bear tests the A7s2

Ever since I got my first “Real” camera I’ve been using Canon cameras. Earlier this year I got a Fuji X-100s to use as a small daily carry camera that I could use for behind the scenes, but the 5d Mark3 was still my go-to work horse for any real photography. Today I got a Sony A7s2 in the mail and I think I might have found a camera that replaces both of them. Of course my first test is gonna be my dog, Bear. It didn’t take long for me to absolutely fall in love with this camera.
