The Heat Machine is undoubtedly the best Ska band to come out of Nebraska. Since breaking up a few years ago the band has dispersed across the country. Recently all of the members were back home for a special reunion show at Vega in Lincoln. Here’s some photos from their set:
In my spare time away from the camera I participate in the local comedy scene. This has led me to produce a show of my own with my friend Mike Vamosi called “Tag Team Comedy”. Each month we pick teams of folks to come on stage as a pair and make the audience laugh. Generally I only film the event but this month I decided to snap some photos as well. Every year Countryside Community Church has a Christmas Jazz show in the coffee house. Here’s a few photos from the event:
Timmy Williams of The Whitest Kids you know came to Omaha to perform some stand up with some local comics from the area.
Famous Jazz pianist Chuck Marohnic is creating original Jazz Pieces to all of the Psalms. While it is a work in progress likely to go on for some time, the members of the Countryside band put on a concert with some of the finished Psalms. Here’s some photos from the event:
