The Omaha Guitar Trio – The Oregon Trail | Music Video
The guys in the Omaha Guitar Trio asked me to put together a series of videos for them during their recording time. Here’s one of the 3 we shot for that project, filmed in 4 takes, so not all of the video matches up with the audio since I sat with a different member for each take. All in all, very happy with how this turned out.
Brinker Harding For City Council
Today I worked with Brinker Harding, who is running for a seat on City Council. He needed some new photos for his marketing materials. We were looking for something a little more casual than a straight into camera shot, and were able to get a few different set-ups in not a whole lot of time. Here’s a few favorites from the shoot.

Arizona Trip
Every year my girlfriend likes to go somewhere warm in the winter months. Something to look forward to during the cold crappy months. Since she works for Hyatt we get to stay in some really nice places for free or significantly reduced costs meaning we’re fortunate enough to travel a little more often than most folks.
This winter we went down to Arizona for a few days. We mostly just hung out at the pool and ate fattening food so I didn’t take many photos but we did go on an adventure one day. Here’s a few photos
Jon and Robyn | Omaha Pregnancy Photos
I absolutely love shooting weddings – they’re like an iron man event for photographers – you have a bunch of different types of photos to take, often in bad conditions, with very little time for each set-up all happening in one marathon day. On the other hand, I’m not really a big fan of doing family photos, mostly because I don’t feel like I can get the kind of quality photos I want and why offer a service you’re not happy with?
The problem is that when you shoot weddings your couples tend to want you to do family photos for them as they begin to start their family. In the past I’ve always resisted this a bit and referred past clients to other photographers, but this year I dipped my toes in the water by doing some pregnancy photos for a few folks. Jon and Robyn’s being the first session for a couple who I wasn’t doing it just for a friend that only needed one or two images.
I gotta say I’m pretty happy with the results from this shoot, so maybe I won’t shy away from stuff like this as much anymore.
Patricia and Jake | Omaha Engagement Session
It’s always nice to shoot photos for people you’ve known for a long time. Me and Jake have known each other for nearly a decade now, having played in a band together for about 5 years. Though we don’t keep in touch as often as we used to when we would have band practice twice a week, I was stoked he asked me to shoot engagment photos for him and his fiance.
We went out to Chalco hills and had to work against a crummy cloudy day and day light savings being that day we had an hour less “sunlight” than we would have had to boot. Luckily with some flash tricks we were able to create some nice light and give the impression of a nice golden hour.
Here’s some photos from their engagement session:

The Dillinger Escape Plan In Lawerence
The Dillinger Escape Plan has always been one of my favorite bands. Largely because you can’t really pin their music down. In a single album it could go from an eclectic mathy-noise-metal song into a piano ballad with a string section. Along with that their live shows are absolutely explosive. A few friends of mine decided they were gonna head down to see the show and asked if I wanted to take the empty seat they had in their car. There wasn’t a snowballs chance in hell that I’d ever miss an opportunity to see this band play live, especially now that they’ve announced they’ll be taking an indefinite hiatus after their next tour.
