The 2016 Ice Cream Cruise

A long long time ago, I met a man named Kyle Loftis. He was a friend of a coworker who came to hang out at our ice rink one day. He ran a small video company called “1320 Video” that filmed local street and regional street racing events. When I was just getting started he taught me a whole lot of things about photography and inspired me a whole lot.

Since then Kyle has built his small video company into an international brand that covers racing events all over the world. Kyle continues to inspire the hell out of me and I jump at any chance I can to work with him. Every year he hosts a local car show (which ends up being one of the biggest car shows of the midwest) and sometimes he asks me if I’m available to shoot some photos/video of the event.

Anyway, here’s some of my favorite photos from the event.

TBD Dance Collective at KANEKO | Omaha Event Photography

TBD dance co. performed at KANEKO for their “Storytelling” exhibit. Alongside the performance they also showed a short film featuring the dance collective’s work “One week, One Month, One Year”. The performance was certainly something to watch and difficult to photograph as it took place through-out the KANEKO building in pretty dim lighting. Here’s a few photos from the event:

Mauro Fiore @ KANEKO | Omaha Event Photography

The folks at KANEKO asked me to come along to the Mauro Fiore talk and snap some photos of the talk. For those of you that don’t know, Fiore has worked on several big name hollywood films as the Director Of Photography – (The guy who plans and designs how the film is shot). Some of his credits include Training Day, Avatar and The Magnificent Seven remake. Here’s a few photos from the event.

Magrudergrind, Yatuja, Sick/Tired, Feeder/Gainer, Y-Incision @ The Lookout Lounge

One thing a lot of people don’t know about me is that I tend to have a rather eclectic taste in music, mostly gravitating towards heavier music. Often times people are surprised that I stand up front at crazy concerts and take pictures, purely for the fun of it. Maybe it’s because I enjoy the music, maybe because after shooting hundreds of concerts if there isn’t a chance for personal injury it just isn’t as fun, really it’s probably both. Regardless, taking photos at Heavy Metal and Hardcore punk concerts will always be one of my favorite things to do. Here’s a few photos from the show:
